The skinny is this:

It's under a DDoS and has been for nearly a month.

As a result, the maintainer thereof has taken it down, and it will not be
coming back up. As an "Incentive" to force people to stop using it, Joe
has added every IP address in the world to the list, with a text record
that asks people to stop using the list.

Aloha mai Nai`a!

Dare we guesstimate that the DDoS was perpetrated by SPAMmers?

The Monkeys.com lists are under attack as well, but are still up.
Everybody's wondering who's next....

What SOME of us are wondering is if it's the same people who sent
out the Sobig virus into the wild.

It's a Sad Day for email.
